Batching
Batching allows RPI to print unique products that share the same size and paper type in a single print run.
Book Blocks
Book blocks are scanned into the book insert and placed on a book belt carrier.
Covers
Every cover is scanned into a specific location. When a book block arrives at Match & Go the computer displays the location of its cover. For the carrier to move it is necessary to scan the cover and the book block.
Binding
The cover is scanned and placed on the book belt together with its book block. Later the two elements will be bound in an encasing machine.
Dust Jacket Hardcovers
Dust jacket hardcovers go through an additional step. At Wrap & Go they are matched and wrapped in a dust jacket.
Complete Photobooks
Complete photobooks arrive at the book exit where they are scanned to signal in our system that they are ready for shipping.
Final Check
All books go through a final quality check.
Shipping
Orders that consist of more than one product are scanned into a Match & Dispatch location and shipped after the order is complete.
