RPI Employee Appreciation Holiday Calendar

The peak season is in full swing! RPI teams in Seattle, Atlanta, Rochester, and Eindhoven ramped up their production to make sure that our clients and their customers have a wonderful Holiday Season.

To usher in the festive spirit, we want to celebrate the people who make it possible.

With 24 days until the Holidays, let us make each day special by celebrating one amazing person and the unique experience, skills, and personality they bring to our RPI team!

December 1: Jesse from Eindhoven

Jesse, our production employee from Eindhoven, is a person that gets along with everybody, and we got to enjoy his company for the last 15 years! He can usually be found at the book insert where he maintains a steady rhythm of production and sets each book block on a journey to meet its cover.

We couldn’t do it without you, Jesse! And even if we tried, it would be much less fun! Thankyou, for bringing the holiday spirit to RPI Eindhoven today! We love the pullover!

Happy Holiday Season!

December 1: Jesse from Eindhoven

December 2 : Pahal from Rochester

Pahal from team Rochester is an inspiration to us all. He came to the United States in 2012 after his family was forced to leave their homeland, Nepal. Like all newcomers, he faced the tough challenges of finding their own place in the new reality. In 2013, Pahal was referred to our company as a potential employee and was hired on a temporary basis. Impressed with his commitment and skills, we were happy to welcome him as a permanent team member a year later. Since then Pahal has claimed his own place not only at RPI, as our most gifted and experienced bindery operator, but also in society, as an American citizen.

Thank you, Pahal, for everything you bring to the team: your dedication, your talent, and your elegant style. Happy Holiday Season!

December 2 : Pahal from Rochester

December 3: Brent from Seattle

Let’s put our hands together for Brent, our production lead from Seattle! Brent came to us last year and we are glad he did! Together with his team, he makes sure all our personalized cards are made with care and shipped in time. He says the best part about his job is the people he works with and the variety of machinery he gets to operate every day, so he’s perfect for the job! As the weekend is coming, you’ll likely find him outside on his dirt bike or camping.

Thanks Brent! You rock! Happy Holiday Season!

December 3: Brent from Seattle

December 6: Holly from Atlanta

Holly, our production lead from Atlanta is proof that you can handle everything that a #Monday morning can throw at you, even during the holiday peak season. She joined our team 3 years ago, and we could count on her since day 1.

Thank you, Holly! We appreciate the passion and commitment, with which you lead, work, and face the challenges on and off the peak season.

Happy Holiday Season!

December 6: Holly from Atlanta

December 7: Miguel from Rochester

Another peak Tuesday in Rochester. Preparation is the key, so Miguel, our team lead in Gifting Department, checks the inventory and upcoming line work to ensure his team is ready for the incoming orders. Miguel joined us in 2016 and since the very beginning, we have been impressed with his ambition, attitude, and capabilities. As a lead, he sets a great example and knows how to operate every piece of machinery in his department.

Thanks, Miguel! You are a gift! Happy Holiday Season!

December 7: Miguel from Rochester

December 8: Adnan from Eindhoven

Happy humpday! Let’s celebrate halfway through the week with our star print supervisor Adnan. He joined our team in Eindhoven as a print operator in 2008 and has grown into an experienced and involved leader of his team.

Here’s Adnan surprised by the photographer with a compressed air duster in one hand and a vacuum cleaner in the other reminding us that the job of a print operator is not only about printing, and the job of a supervisor is not about supervising.

Thanks, Adnan, you are an inspiration! You infect us with your passion and enthusiasm even when you are wearing a mask! Happy Holiday Season!

December 8: Adnan from Eindhoven

December 9: Abdi from Seattle, Maciek from Eindhoven, and Tonya from Atlanta

For many of us, the Holiday Season is a time to slow down and take a moment to write personal messages to our loved ones. For us, it is time to buckle down.

Making sure all the Holiday Cards are made and shipped on time is a team effort, so today we celebrate not one, but three great people from our Cardline teams!

Thank you! Happy Holiday Season!

Abdi from Seattle

Abdi is a Cardline veteran. He’s been with RPI for 7 years, so it is not his first peak season, and we appreciate the experience he brings to his team in Seattle. His passion for his work is evident and contagious to everyone who works with him!

Maciek from Eindhoven

Maciek surely knows his way around card production. Cutting, creasing, laminating, rounded corners - he handles it all with calm confidence. Maciek joined our Eindhoven team as a temporary employee in September 2019. This year in January, we were happy to welcome him as an RPI employee. We do hope it is a start of an exciting journey for both parties.

December 10: Marcin from Eindhoven

Smile, it’s almost weekend, or as we say in the Netherlands, bijna weekend!

Marcin, our employee from Eindhoven surely has a great smile, which also comes with 7 years of experience, commitment, and great personality. He is familiar with our entire production flow and its separate steps, and we can count on him to jump in where necessary. Personalized photo books make great presents, and we experience a huge increase in orders during the last weeks before the Holidays. Having Marcin on the team gives us the confidence to face it.

Thanks, Marcin! Happy Holiday Season!

December 13: Chanthan from Seattle and Karolina from Eindhoven

As we approach the holiday shipping deadline, we double the energy, the focus, and the commitment, and celebrate not one, but two fantastic employees who bring the spark to our team photobooks!

Chanthan from Seattle

Chanthan is one of our Bookline production supervisors. This little lady is the problem-solving energizer bunny and is always on the go. She started off as a part-time employee 13 years ago and says that being part of the team and supporting her employees keeps her here at RPI. When she’s not holding down the fort here at work in Seattle, she’s playing with her son Harrison.

Thank you, Chanthan! Happy Holiday Season!

Karolina from Eindhoven

Karolina is a trusted member of the Eindhoven team. Making covers is all about skill and focus, and Karolina does not get distracted even when faced with a camera. Since she joined us two years she has also gained a lot of skill and got so fast! Here is a rare photo of Karolina without motion blur.

Thank you, Mariola! Happy Holiday Season!

December 14: T.K. from Atlanta

T.K. is our experienced and reliable PUR operator in Atlanta. She joined us five years ago and has brought a lot of positivity to our team. December 15: Thanh from Seattle

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a Press Room Leader who works harder than Thanh. His attention to detail is like no other and you can be sure that whatever task is assigned to him will be done well. He is consistently going above and beyond to help his team and is a great leader.

Thank you Thanh for always representing RPI’s values! Happy Holiday Season!

December 16: Fernanda and Namrate from Eindhoven

As the peak season volumes rocket, we rely on temporary employees to work along with our more experienced team. Fernanda (back) and Namrate (front) joined the #Eindhoven team this October and proved quick and committed learners whom we can trust with pre-shipping quality control.

Big thanks and lots of respect! It is a challenge to stay focused surrounded by the bustling activity of peak production, and they are doing great! Happy Holiday Season!

December 16: Fernanda and Namrate from Eindhoven

December 17: Dung from Seattle and Michel from Eindhoven

Michel from Eindhoven

December 20: James Coon from Rochester

James Coon joined our team in Rochester a year ago as a temporary employee and has worked his way up to a lead position.

At the moment, he keeps busy with one of the most popular products of the peak season, personalized calendars, but that is just one of the many things he can do around here. A quick learner and a natural problem solver, James can handle all book-related tasks, identify irregularities, fix errors, and help his teammates when needed.

Thank you, James. We are happy to have you! Happy Holiday Season!

December 20: James Coon from Rochester

December 21: Elina from Eindhoven

The Holiday Season is the perfect time to gift loved ones with a special memory on a large-format print.

Elina, from Eindhoven, makes sure each memory is printed, cut to size, packaged, and shipped.
