Product Owner
Position Summary:

We're seeking a Product Owner who is responsible for defining internal and external customer requirements and prioritizing the features into product releases. This position involves close interaction with software development, IT, product design, manufacturing and key customers.

The successful candidate will be self directed with a strong technical background.  She/he will be a collaborative, results-driven leader who can prioritize well and transform ideas, customer needs and requests into cohesive, detailed business, product and technical interface requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Write product requirements and user stories to communicate customer needs and create alignment among the stakeholders and development team

  • Prioritize and maintain the agile product backlog on an ongoing basis, ensuring the most important requirements are always being worked on

  • Prepare for the sprint planning meetings by progressively decomposing requirements prior to the meeting in order to create a smooth flow of work

  • Actively monitor the implementation of each product project; Clarify requirements when questions arise and review work results using the agreed-upon “done” criteria

  • Maintain the product portfolio roadmap

  • Maintain a status dashboard for all portfolio products

  • Monitor and incorporate industry innovations

  • Conduct technology assessments

  • Analyze the competitive landscape


Qualifications:


  • Thorough understanding of the product development process with software as a component

  • Successful experience in Agile/Scrum/Kanban development methodologies writing user stories and using prototypes to effectively communicate unambiguous requirements to development teams and stakeholders.

  • An understanding of development concepts regarding windows and web applications & services

  • Experience with requirements & support issues surrounding the development and maintenance of a 24/7 SOA Web Application.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Technical proficiency and ability to discuss and define technical concepts and tradeoffs with engineering team members and stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements and features

  • Meticulous attention to details and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision

  • Excellent teamwork and negotiation skills

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent technical experience is required.

Stationery Product Designer
As an integral part of our growing Product Marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and creating new stationery products for specific retail customers; research stationery trends including paper, body styles, packaging, print and color. This role is responsible for the preparation all production files to internal partners and outsourced vendors.  Also, will work with art director and head merchandiser to develop key accounts in line with season and trend.

Key skills for this role include:

  • Communicating conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale, both verbally and visually.

  • Expanding/versioning a particular style into a family of graphical assets

  • Creating a look consistent with client’s brand while simultaneously upholding company’s design standards and guidelines.

  • Producing multiple 2D concept drawings and physical mock-ups/prototypes of product concepts to review for alignment with business goals, user needs and broader product initiatives

  • Creating inspired collateral in both digital and analog formats

  • Creating rapid prototypes and wireframes to express your ideas in motion. “Back of the napkin” skills encouraged!

  • Knowing when to be consistent and when not to be

  • Collaborating with product engineering and production team to ensure the final product meets design specs


Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Bachelors degree in surface, graphic or related design program.

  • 5~10 years in stationery or paper product related industry.

Senior Account Executive

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for delivering strategic and day-to-day management of the personalized printed products category for top-tier retail partners. The selected candidate will manage creative merchandising, marketing and promotional programs with our partners to drive revenue growth, and work closely with our product development and marketing teams to expand and optimize our retail platform (web and in-store). In addition, you will hold key relationships and function as the primary service and support contact for large retail partners.


This is a highly visible position that requires a combination of sales, category, and account management experience within the retail, print and/or the make-on-demand market. The successful candidate will be a creative, entrepreneurial and self motivated person who has a solid track record of delivering innovative services in a high growth environment. S/he
will be a strong, apolitical leader who can prioritize well and communicate a compelling strategy and plan clearly at all levels inside and outside the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Set high performance standards to provide industry leading, high quality services to our partners.

  • Build partner respect and satisfaction by driving account plans that meet or exceed their strategic objectives.

  • Measure and analyze category performance and develop strategies to increase sales and profits as well as drive continuous improvement within partner accounts.

Qualifications:

  • BA in Business or  equivalent

  • 5 -7 years experience within the retail or print industry in strategic account
    management

  • Highly analytical with the ability to develop strategic insights across multiple data sources and translate insights into actionable plans and presentations.

  • Ability to develop and cultivate relationships with key partners.

  • Experience in negotiations with customers at mid, senior and executive levels.

  • Effective presentation, communication and influencing skills.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and proven ability to complete multiple, competing
    priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision

  • Sales, project management, or marketing experience a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Pre-Press Engineer
The Pre-Press Engineer is a senior level position that collaborates with product development and production engineering staff to provide professional graphic design, and layout of printed and electronic materials to support the needs of RPI.   RPI is a highly automated environment and this is a position with high visibility and growth potential for demonstrated leadership and process improvement.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Design optimized impositions for product development concepts and manufacturing processes including high volume "one off" digital photo products such as photo books, greeting cards, envelops, posters, and expanding product portfolio.

  • Insure compliance in design for manufacturing for various digital printing technologies including sheet fed photo color devices, large format inkjet devices, mailing devices (addressing), print converting requirements including marking for automated bindery and converting equipment.

  • Design and integration of new products, and optimization of existing portfolio

  • Design complex imposition to include packaging, folding, and essential marking for manufacturing automation

  • Pre-press design requirements owner including color,  automation and "lights out" manufacturing including integration with XML based web to print solutions

  • Products and Designs are developed and integrated over several weeks and then integrated with client web to print solutions.  These products then flow automatically from web to pre-press to imposition, to manufacturing.  This position owns file design for manufacturing and assists in developing solutions for creative and product architects.

  • Active leadership in the product engineering team reporting to the product engineering manager.


Qualifications

  • Requires 7-10 years demonstrated expertise in digital pre-media technology and digital workflow (web to print)

  • Expert status in industry tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Pit Stop Professional, and Adobe InDesign required, digital workflows (designing layouts and impositions to optimize the automated workflow).

  • Color expertise to include GRACOL G7, color profiles, digital equipment including HP Indigo, Xerox IGEN, and other digital equipment including toner based, and inkjet based technology.

  • B.S. or B.A in Graphic Design, Package Engineering is ideal  but not required(Demonstrated direct experience considered equivalent).

  • Significant direct experience required with industry leading performance and history preferred.

  • Experience must be in the digital print and converting space not in lithographic impositioning or non-automated workflow environments.

Quality Assurance Engineer
Position Summary:

RPI is looking for a candidate with experience as a QA Engineer focused on large scale custom systems.  This position will be responsible for performing testing as well as developing of test cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of quality assurance experience.

  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle in an agile/SCRUM environment.

Software Developer
Position Summary:

We’re looking for a skilled Software Developer to join our team.  We are a Microsoft environment and develop a wide range of applications including high availability web services, factory and prepress automation services for high-end digital printing, and high speed and high volume supply chain integrations. Our engineers are capable of working anywhere in the software stack, comfortable with everything from design to production support, and enthusiastic about the team and its growth.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience with object oriented programming (C++, C#, etc.), with 1+ years experience specifically with C#

  • 3+ years experience building on the Microsoft stack

  • 3+ years experience with relational databases, especially SQL Server

  • Web development Skills including CSS, HTML, XML, JSCRIPT, JQuery, ASP.Net

Part-Time Graphic Designer
As an integral part of our growing Product Marketing team, you will be responsible for a wide range of both communications and product initiatives around our core products (photo books and stationery), as well as products that are in development. The most critical will be the generation of significant graphic assets required for new product launch. As such you must be capable of creating a wide variety of artwork and applying to
various form factors.

Graphic designer is responsible for the creation and organization of graphic files for both print and web platforms. You will be handling high volumes of graphic assets and must be extremely organized and process oriented. You need to be able to work well collaboratively but also have a strong individual sense of aesthetics and be able to bring tasteful, stylish,
trend-forward ideas to the table. You must be able to consistently balance high quality results with multiple competing priorities. You will be a key member of a small, entrepreneurial, agile, fun, creative team with high energy and opportunity for growth.

Responsibilities

  • The primary responsibility of this position is creating and building final art files in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat to meet production requirements and to produce multiple outputs and publish the results in our systems.

  • Create and organize artwork (photographs, illustrations and designs). Layout, design and format graphic files to print specifications, customer requirements, and print limitations.  Layout new and existing graphics using style guides.

  • Coordinate closely with production team on schedules to ensure delivery of final art files and will provide proofs to the Art Director for approvals.

  • Create layouts, tweak graphics files, retouch and rearrange Photoshop illustrations and provide graphic design support to the internal stakeholders.

  • Manage the organization and upkeep of the materials and samples library.
